The best dinner of our vacation… Excellent – good recommendation by a friend… Amazing food and top notch service… You cannot go to Gozo without trying Ta’Philip… Great Restaurant, Lovely Owner and Staff… Suckling Pig was amazing… Such an amazing dining experience… Very well served. Top quality food and service.. we really enjoyed our visit here. Wood burning oven really enhanced the taste. Suckling pig is also one of the fantastic dishes served here.
Best Food best Service. Wood-fire roast baby lamb was amazing. Local wine from Ta Mena Estate Wines its a must.
This place is v.well furnished. The food is abundant, I couldn’t finish half my meals. But it”s lacking in flavors, rather bland. I find that the food does not match the setting. The wine cellar is impressive,well kept and vast. If only the owner would refrain from disparaging his waitress in front of the clients,very unprofessional &vulgar. For all the money invested on the premises, I expected a lot better from the kitchen. I do not wish to offend but be constructive in my scribe.
Great wine selection. The food options were a good variety. The staff were very helpful with wine selections. Romantic atmosphere. There are nice earthworks up on the wall. A few famous people has been to the restaurant as well.
Amazing experience. I’ve tried both pasta and meat. Friendly staff and great service. They do their utmost to satisfy the customer. Prices are reasonable and food quality is amazing. Recommended!

Best rib eye I’ve yet had. That said, I’ve always been impressed with every other dish served. Service is fast and efficient and the restaurant is well-spaced and ambient. A must visit restaurant when in Mgarr.
Delicious authentic food. Wonderful staff. The octopus and salmon were amazing. But, the roasted vegetables are the best I’ve ever had.

Really excellent! Even though a bit aside from the main routes, this restaurant serves local dishes of a really high quality. A great assortment of wines as well, so this is a great place to spend an evening!
Took my wife for a meal here and the food was superb with excellent service and atmosphere. It was also nice to chat with the owner Phillip. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Gozo to have a meal here. You will not be disappointed.
We had an outstanding meal at Ta Philip! Great atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff and delicious dishes and wine. We ordered the local lamb and spare ribs, together with local Maltese wines, which were great together. Would definitely recommend to go here when you visit Gozo or spend your holiday here.
We have been in Gozo for the past week and were recommended Philips by a lady we met on the ferry.We have eaten there every night since l.The food is absolutely incredible and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.Philip is a gentleman who looked after us so well every night.He runs a very tight ship and has a great crew working for him.I cant recommend it highly enough.These are only some of the pictures we took of our meals we had there.
We arrived for dinner tonight just as the restaurant opened; we were the first table seated. The establishment is very nice and clean. Great ambiance. Our server was so sweet and attentive from the moment we arrived. We ordered fried brie as a starter, asparagus risotto and qarabaghli mimli for the main course, and imqaret a la mode for dessert. We also shared a bottle of wine and and had espressos with dessert. The kitchen was really on point. All of the food was AMAZING. And everything was very beautifully plated. It was fresh and hot. The risotto was cooked very nicely. Sides of potatoes and veggies were perfectly savory. Dessert was super great and obviously made to order. And all along our server was attentive and helpful and good natured. It was the best service and food and and dining experience we have had this entire week we’ve been here in Malta/Gozo. I will give this restaurant 5 stars for food and service and decor/style. However, a note about the owner who was around: He was rather terrible to his wait staff, specifically the very sweet and competent server that waited on us this evening. He had the gall to chastise her right in front of us. And although we had a 3 course meal and a bottle of wine, he made every effort to talk to every other table that was there with the exception of me and my husband. His restaurant and wait staff and kitchen staff are all outstanding. I just wish he demonstrated more appreciation toward his team. All in all a great restaurant. I would recommend others to dine here. And I would visit again if ever in Gozo again.
